Lines in Los Angeles

Luckily with the movement of festivals away from Los Angeles, there is less concern about being stuck in line for hours on end to get inside. However with the growing popularity of the electronic music scene, the lines at the clubs are continuously growing. Here’s some tips on how to avoid these lines and speed your way inside, and for possibly less money.

1. Buy tickets when they go on sale.
Easiest way to get inside fast. Purchase a ticket. Most locations have a garranteed entry until 11pm, afterwards if the venue is full you get priority entry. Not to mention the earlier you buy a ticket, the more reduced in price it will be.

2. Arrive somewhat early.
You can use your best judgement on this one. There may be no one in the place if you get there when doors open, and that is no fun. You should try to beat the rush, however. Chances are that opening DJ you are seeing is the next hot thing, or they may be a hidden gem that sparks your interest in a certain genre. Don’t go just for the mainstream headliner.

3. Get on the guestlist.
Chances are for weekly events there is a guestlist provided by the promoter, venue, or artist. Even if you are considering going, jump on it. Chances are the guestlist price is cheaper than the face value of the tickets. However, the price of your ticket increases as the night carries on. Get there early = cheaper entry.
